Job Description

Are you an experienced leader ready to drive the future of sustainable energy? Ramboll Group is seeking a visionary Chief Project Manager to lead our Waste-to-Energy (WtE) and critical waste infrastructure portfolio in Singapore and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

In this high-impact role, you will be at the forefront of the green transition, managing complex, large-scale engineering projects that turn waste into valuable energy resources. You will spearhead multi-disciplinary teams, interface with high-level stakeholders, and ensure project delivery adheres to the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental sustainability. This is an unparalleled opportunity to shape the infrastructure landscape of a global hub while working with one of the most respected engineering consultancies in the world.

We are looking for a strategic thinker who excels in both technical project management and client relationship building. If you are passionate about circular economy solutions and have a track record of delivering major industrial projects, we invite you to help us create a sustainable future.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex Waste-to-Energy projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest technical specifications.
  • Serve as the primary lead for project planning, risk management, resource allocation, and budget oversight.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, civil works, and environmental specialists to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage client relationships, acting as the key point of contact to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnership growth.
  • Navigate local regulatory requirements, permitting, and environmental impact assessments in Singapore and regional markets.
  • Provide strategic oversight on project tenders, feasibility studies, and proposal development for upcoming infrastructure initiatives.
  • Mentor project staff and ensure the integration of best practices in engineering safety and sustainable design.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in project management, specifically within Waste-to-Energy, Power Plants, or industrial infrastructure sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale, multi-million dollar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
  • Deep understanding of waste incineration technologies, gasification, or alternative waste-to-energy recovery systems.
  • Proven track record in leading multicultural, multidisciplinary teams across regional boundaries.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate technical requirements to non-technical partners and government entities.
  • Professional Engineering certification or equivalent project management qualification (PMP/Prince2) is highly advantageous.
