Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review civil engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with design plans and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and government agencies to resolve technical issues and facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Perform calculations related to structural analysis, hydrology, geotechnical considerations, and material quantities.
  • Assist in the development of project schedules, resource plans, and quality control procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in risk assessments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in civil engineering design or construction supervision, preferably in infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SAP2000, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian construction standards, building codes, and safety regulations (e.g., CIDB, JKR).
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  • Professional registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is a plus.
