Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural systems using industry-standard software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS)
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications for construction
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with design standards and safety regulations
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to resolve technical issues
- Review and approve engineering submissions for regulatory compliance
- Develop structural solutions for diverse projects including high-rises, bridges, and industrial facilities
- Maintain project documentation and ensure timely delivery of design deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of relevant design experience in construction industry
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with Malaysian Uniform Building By-Laws (UBBL) and JKR standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent is advantageous
