Responsibilities

  • Operate and program CNC lathe and milling machines according to production schedules.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and work instructions.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters for each job.
  • Perform first‑article inspections and in‑process quality checks to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate repairs with maintenance staff.
  • Document machining processes, update CNC programs, and suggest improvements for efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety policies and 5S principles.
  • Collaborate with production planners, quality engineers, and team leads to meet delivery targets.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience operating CNC turning/auto lathe machines.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming using G‑code and familiarity with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and geometric tolerances.
  • Knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders, and machining materials (metals, plastics, composites).
  • Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a shift‑based environment.
