Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for all Information Technology degree programs.
- Conduct regular evaluation procedures to assess and enhance the teaching performance of faculty members.
- Oversee curriculum development and updates to ensure alignment with current technology trends and industry standards.
- Mentor faculty in pedagogical innovations and professional development.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and laboratory facilities to support high-quality learning.
- Represent the IT department in institutional planning, accreditation processes, and external partnerships.
- Monitor student academic progress and implement support programs to improve retention and graduation rates.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Doctorate degree is a significant advantage).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an academic leadership role (e.g., Department Head, Program Chair, or Dean).
- Proven track record in faculty management and performance evaluation.
- Strong understanding of CHED regulations and accreditation requirements for IT programs in the Philippines.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with IT industry stakeholders.
- Proficiency in instructional design and educational technologies.
