Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef in the preparation of high-quality dishes according to established restaurant standards.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization of the assigned workstation (mise-en-place) throughout service.
- Ensure all food products are handled, stored, and prepared according to strict food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in the timely replenishment of ingredients and kitchen supplies.
- Perform basic preparation duties, including chopping vegetables, preparing stocks, and assisting with plating requirements.
- Participate in daily kitchen briefings and contribute to maintaining a positive, efficient team culture.
- Adhere to all occupational health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or a relevant internship in a high-end restaurant or hotel kitchen.
- Possession of a valid Food Hygiene Certification is mandatory.
- Strong fundamental understanding of culinary techniques, knife skills, and flavor profiles.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Strong work ethic, discipline, and a genuine passion for modern gastronomy.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required by restaurant operations.
