Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation and basic cooking tasks under the supervision of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
  • Ensure all ingredients are prepped, measured, and stored according to kitchen standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station, including proper sanitation practices.
  • Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs to senior chefs.
  • Support the team during peak service hours to ensure timely food delivery.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations in the kitchen.
  • Participate in training sessions and contribute to menu development ideas.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience (6 months to 1 year) as a Commis or Kitchen Helper in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
  • Basic knowledge of culinary techniques, knife skills, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional food.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn Turkish cuisine and adapt to new recipes.
