Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and basic cooking tasks under the supervision of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Ensure all ingredients are prepped, measured, and stored according to kitchen standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station, including proper sanitation practices.
- Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs to senior chefs.
- Support the team during peak service hours to ensure timely food delivery.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations in the kitchen.
- Participate in training sessions and contribute to menu development ideas.
Qualifications
- Previous experience (6 months to 1 year) as a Commis or Kitchen Helper in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques, knife skills, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional food.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn Turkish cuisine and adapt to new recipes.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Culinary certificate or diploma is an advantage.
