Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Partie in the daily preparation and production of menu items according to standard recipes.
- Ensure that all food preparation areas are kept clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations (NEA standards).
- Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and report low-stock items to supervisors.
- Prepare ingredients for service, including washing, peeling, chopping, and marinating.
- Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service operations during peak hours.
- Assist in recipe development and menu planning initiatives as assigned by the Executive Chef.
Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of culinary experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment.
- Formal culinary qualification (Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts) is highly preferred.
- Possess a valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and a passion for modern gastronomy.
- A proactive team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, shifts, and public holidays.
