Responsibilities
- Assist the senior kitchen staff in the preparation and production of menu items.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard of presentation and quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in accordance with food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation to minimize waste.
- Execute precise knife work and basic cooking techniques under pressure.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Follow specific recipes and portion control guidelines set by the Executive Chef.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment as a Commis or equivalent role.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene protocols (HACCP knowledge is a plus).
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods (sauté, grill, fry, etc.).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.
- Strong discipline, punctuality, and a positive attitude toward learning and growth.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of Indonesian and international culinary techniques.
