Responsibilities

  • Assist the senior kitchen staff in the preparation and production of menu items.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard of presentation and quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation to minimize waste.
  • Execute precise knife work and basic cooking techniques under pressure.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
  • Follow specific recipes and portion control guidelines set by the Executive Chef.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment as a Commis or equivalent role.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene protocols (HACCP knowledge is a plus).
  • Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods (sauté, grill, fry, etc.).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.
  • Strong discipline, punctuality, and a positive attitude toward learning and growth.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Indonesian and international culinary techniques.
