Responsibilities

  • Assist senior chefs in the preparation and presentation of all menu items, ensuring consistency and adherence to Mozaic’s high standards.
  • Execute basic cooking techniques such as sautéing, grilling, and plating under the guidance of the sous chef.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor food inventory and support ordering processes to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Actively participate in daily briefings and continuous improvement of recipes and techniques.
  • Support the development of seasonal dishes by providing feedback and ideas during team discussions.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed, fostering a collaborative and respectful environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a fine dining or high‑volume kitchen environment.
  • Diploma or certificate in culinary arts from a recognized institution.
  • Strong knowledge of classic European techniques and willingness to work with Indonesian ingredients.
  • Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Passion for flavour, presentation, and continuous learning.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English; knowledge of Indonesian is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
