Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs in the preparation and presentation of all menu items, ensuring consistency and adherence to Mozaic’s high standards.
- Execute basic cooking techniques such as sautéing, grilling, and plating under the guidance of the sous chef.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor food inventory and support ordering processes to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Actively participate in daily briefings and continuous improvement of recipes and techniques.
- Support the development of seasonal dishes by providing feedback and ideas during team discussions.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed, fostering a collaborative and respectful environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a fine dining or high‑volume kitchen environment.
- Diploma or certificate in culinary arts from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of classic European techniques and willingness to work with Indonesian ingredients.
- Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Passion for flavour, presentation, and continuous learning.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English; knowledge of Indonesian is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Valid health certificate and work permit (for foreign applicants) or local ID.
