Responsibilities

  • Perform Power Integrity (PI) analysis for IC and package designs, including voltage drop, noise, and current density assessments.
  • Collaborate with design teams to optimize power delivery networks and ensure signal integrity.
  • Use advanced simulation tools such as ANSYS RedHawk and Cadence Voltus for power integrity analysis.
  • Develop and implement design guidelines for low-power and high-performance integrated circuits.
  • Work closely with layout engineers to ensure proper power grid design and decoupling capacitance placement.
  • Generate detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of new methodologies and best practices for power integrity analysis.
  • Support post-silicon validation and correlation with pre-silicon simulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in power integrity analysis or related IC design roles.
  • Proficiency in PI simulation tools such as ANSYS RedHawk, Cadence Voltus, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of IC and package design principles, including power grid and decoupling design.
  • Experience with EDA tools for IC design (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., TCL, Python) for automation is desirable.
