Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily die-casting production activities to ensure all output targets are met on time.
- Monitor and optimize machine parameters and production cycles to maximize yield and minimize cycle times.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards, performing root cause analysis on defects and implementing corrective actions.
- Lead, train, and supervise production operators and technicians to maintain a high standard of safety and productivity.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to schedule preventive maintenance and minimize unplanned downtime.
- Manage raw material inventory and aluminum alloy consumption to reduce waste and control costs.
- Generate and analyze production reports (KPIs, OEE, Scrap rates) for management review.
- Enforce 5S workplace organization and strict compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of working experience in a die-casting or metal manufacturing environment is required.
- Strong technical knowledge of High-Pressure Die-Casting (HPDC) machines and mold/die maintenance.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 or IATF 16949 quality management systems.
- Proven ability to interpret technical engineering drawings and CAD designs.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a production floor team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills using methodologies such as PDCA, Fishbone, or 5-Why analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP/MRP production software.
