Phoenix Tree International Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Dorm Parent to join our campus in Gelang Patah, Johor. In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily life, safety, and well-being of students residing in our dormitory.
As a Dorm Parent, you will create a supportive and homely environment for our students, ensuring their physical safety, emotional health, and academic success. You will work closely with teachers, counselors, and parents to provide comprehensive care and guidance to students during their stay at the dormitory.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor students' daily activities within the dormitory premises to ensure their safety and well-being
- Establish and enforce dormitory rules and guidelines while maintaining a positive, nurturing atmosphere
- Assist students with homework, study sessions, and academic enrichment activities
- Coordinate and supervise recreational activities, cultural events, and extracurricular programs
- Conduct regular room inspections and maintain cleanliness and organization standards
- Serve as a mentor and role model, providing emotional support and guidance to students
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding students' progress and any concerns
- Manage emergency situations and first aid procedures as needed
Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Education, Child Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Previous experience working in a residential care, dormitory, or boarding school environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with students of various ages
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young people
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
- Basic first aid knowledge and certification would be advantageous
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are a plus
- Excellent organizational and conflict resolution abilities
