Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) drawings using AutoCAD or related drafting software.
- Coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure drawings meet project specifications and local building codes.
- Assist in the preparation of shop drawings and as-built drawings for field construction teams.
- Review architectural drawings to identify potential clashes and suggest effective design solutions.
- Ensure that all documentation is accurate, complete, and filed according to company standards.
- Participate in site visits to verify dimensions and support project execution.
- Provide technical support to the design team during the drafting process.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma (D3) in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Drafter MEP in a construction or engineering environment.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit or BIM is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing symbols and technical terminology.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under tight project deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
