Responsibilities
- Plan and implement play‑based, nature‑integrated curriculum for children aged 3‑6.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating indoor/outdoor learning environment.
- Observe, assess, and document each child's development and progress.
- Engage parents and guardians through regular updates, meetings, and community events.
- Maintain classroom hygiene, safety standards, and compliance with licensing regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop lesson plans, thematic units, and enrichment activities.
- Participate in professional development, training, and staff meetings.
- Supervise assistant teachers, volunteers, and student interns as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Minimum 1‑2 years of experience teaching in a preschool or childcare setting.
- Strong understanding of child development milestones and age‑appropriate practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Passion for nature‑based education and outdoor learning.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain).
- Fluent in English; Bahasa Malaysia is a plus.
