We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Educator (Secondary School) to join our team in the North-East Region. As an educator, you will have the opportunity to impact student learning through engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the unique needs of secondary students on the autism spectrum.
You will be part of a collaborative and supportive environment, working closely with therapists, parents, and other educators to create holistic development plans. Your role includes not only teaching but also fostering student independence, social skills, and emotional well-being. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging, individualized lessons for secondary students with autism spectrum disorder.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and adjustments to instruction.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to staff training sessions.
- Engage with parents, caregivers, and external stakeholders to support student outcomes.
- Contribute to school-wide events, initiatives, and extracurricular programs.
- Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with school policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification recognized in Singapore (e.g., Diploma in Education, PGDE).
- Experience teaching or working with students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Strong understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies for special education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt lessons to diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Passion for special education and commitment to student success.
