Job Description

Are you an experienced EHS professional looking to make a significant impact at the ground level? Tekscend Photomask is establishing a pioneering semiconductor manufacturing facility in Tampines, and we are seeking a dedicated EHS Engineer to help us build our safety and sustainability culture from the foundation up.

In this high-visibility role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management systems tailored to a cutting-edge semiconductor environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a zero-harm workplace. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated engineer to shape safety protocols, drive sustainability initiatives, and lead risk management strategies in one of Singapore’s most dynamic industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the facility's EHS management system (ISO 14001, ISO 45001) from the ground up.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and incident investigations to prevent workplace injuries and environmental impact.
  • Ensure full compliance with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and National Environment Agency (NEA) regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and lead emergency response plans, including fire safety, chemical spill management, and evacuation procedures.
  • Develop and deliver engaging EHS training programs for all personnel to foster a robust safety culture.
  • Monitor environmental performance, including waste management, energy efficiency, and chemical usage reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate safety design principles into new equipment installations and process modifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of EHS experience, preferably within the semiconductor, electronics, or chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., WSHO, Fire Safety Manager) is highly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of local Singaporean EHS legislation, codes of practice, and international safety standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex regulations into practical, operational workflows.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, greenfield project environment.
