Job Description
Wellington Investment & Manufacturing Corporation is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Pasig City, Metro Manila. This role focuses on the troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of vital electrical equipment used on our production lines. You will drive reliability, reduce downtime, and support safe, compliant operations across all manufacturing processes. You will analyze electrical systems, review schematics and wiring diagrams, and implement improvements to control systems, motors, drives, and power distribution. Collaboration with maintenance technicians, production supervisors, and external vendors will be essential as you plan maintenance activities, install new equipment, and commission automation upgrades.
As a hands-on problem-solver, you will perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and control panels, while ensuring electrical safety and regulatory compliance. You will maintain accurate maintenance records, spare parts inventories, and service reports to support data-driven decision making and cost control. Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and electronic equipment across production lines to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, power distribution, and control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts; update documentation and as-built records.
- Lead root cause analysis for equipment failures; implement corrective actions and monitor effectiveness over time.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to plan maintenance schedules and execute improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes; conduct routine electrical safety checks and participate in risk assessments.
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and automation upgrades; coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs and drive systems; experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms; able to read and interpret schematics.
- Proven problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills; data-driven with a focus on reliability.
- Understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and risk assessment practices; commitment to safe work practices.
- Effective communication and teamwork; ability to collaborate across maintenance, production, and engineering teams.
- Willingness to work on multiple shifts and occasional overtime; willingness to participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
