Responsibilities
- Perform quantity takeâoffs for electrical systems from drawings and specifications.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and overheads.
- Analyze project requirements and recommend costâeffective solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and bid submissions.
- Coordinate with senior engineers and project managers to validate estimates.
- Maintain upâtoâdate cost databases and pricing libraries.
- Support value engineering exercises and change order assessments.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and client specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2â3 years of experience in electrical estimating or cost engineering.
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, CostX, or similar).
- Strong understanding of electrical codes (PEC, IEC) and construction practices.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
