Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize EDA design flows and scripts for ASIC/FPGA projects.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure timing closure, sign‑off quality, and manufacturability.
- Evaluate and integrate new EDA tools and technologies into the existing workflow.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training to design teams on EDA methodologies.
- Perform physical verification, DRC/LVS checks, and assist in tape‑out activities.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to reduce design cycle time and increase efficiency.
- Document design procedures, best practices, and lessons learned for knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in EDA engineering, ASIC/FPGA design flows, or semiconductor CAD support.
- Proficiency with industry‑standard EDA tools (Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Design Compiler, Mentor Graphics Calibre, etc.).
- Strong scripting skills in Python, TCL, Perl, or similar languages.
- Solid understanding of digital design concepts, timing analysis, and physical verification.
- Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments and version control systems (Git, SVN).
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
