PNE Industries is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic / PCB Layout Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Johor Bahru. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and testing electronic circuits, PCB layouts, and related equipment for a wide range of industrial and consumer applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop PCB layouts for new and existing electronic products using industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad).
- Create and maintain schematics, component libraries, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
- Perform signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal analysis to optimize PCB performance.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define component placement, routing constraints, and stack-up requirements.
- Generate and review manufacturing files (Gerber, drill files, pick-and-place) and work with PCB fabrication vendors to ensure design-for-manufacturability (DFM).
- Conduct prototype assembly, testing, and debugging of electronic circuits and PCBs.
- Document design specifications, test procedures, and engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve design processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in PCB layout design and electronic circuit development.
- Proficiency in at least one PCB design software (Altium Designer strongly preferred).
- Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit principles, component selection, and signal integrity.
- Experience with DFM/DFA guidelines and working with PCB manufacturers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug prototype boards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7351) is an advantage.
