Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized, high-conversion one-on-one tutoring sessions in specialized subjects (STEM, Humanities, or Test Prep).
- Develop and implement customized learning plans that align with student goals and school curricula.
- Provide detailed progress reports and actionable feedback to parents and students after every session.
- Mentor students in executive functioning skills, including time management and organizational strategies.
- Stay updated on local school standards and standardized testing trends (SAT, ACT, AP, IB).
- Collaborate with the Lumina academic team to refine instructional methodologies and resource development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university required; Master’s or PhD preferred.
- Proven track record of academic excellence and at least 2 years of professional tutoring or teaching experience.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse learners.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor suitable for high-end clientele.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to student homes within the New York City area.
- Ability to commit to a consistent weekly schedule for the duration of the academic year.
