Ann Joo is seeking a skilled Engineer – Mechanical / Electrical / Production to join our dynamic team in Petaling, Selangor. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing operations, ensuring equipment reliability, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, troubleshoot, and optimise production processes while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background, hands‑on experience with mechanical and electrical systems, and a passion for delivering efficient solutions in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
You will also be involved in conducting routine inspections, performing root‑cause analysis of equipment failures, and coordinating with vendors for spare parts and service contracts. Your contributions will help minimise downtime, improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and support the company’s commitment to delivering high‑quality products on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Support daily mechanical and electrical maintenance activities across production lines.
- Perform troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis of equipment malfunctions.
- Assist in the design and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers and service providers for timely procurement of parts.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and performance metrics.
- Participate in cross‑functional projects aimed at enhancing product quality and reducing waste.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians and operators.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical (Power), Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and PLC programming.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for creating schematics and layouts.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA or local Malaysian regulations.
- Willingness to work in shifts or overtime as required.
