Lum Chang Building Contractors, a leading construction firm in Singapore, is seeking an experienced Engineer, Planning (Infrastructure) to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, incorporating all phases of infrastructure construction.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations from baseline schedules, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align resources, materials, and workflows with the master schedule.
- Conduct risk assessments and scenario planning to mitigate delays and optimize project timelines.
- Prepare periodic progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for project stakeholders and senior management.
- Facilitate schedule review meetings and workshops to ensure alignment across all project teams.
- Analyze historical data and lessons learned to improve future project planning and scheduling accuracy.
- Support tender and bid submissions by developing preliminary schedules and resource plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in project planning for infrastructure or building construction.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and Asta Powerproject.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and resource allocation for civil/infrastructure works.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate complex schedule information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Singapore building codes, safety regulations, and project delivery methods (Design-Build, etc.).
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCP) are a plus.
