Global English Centre is currently seeking a motivated and energetic English Camp Assistant to join our dynamic team in Kota Kinabalu. In this role, you will play a vital part in facilitating an immersive English learning environment, helping students build confidence through interactive activities, workshops, and team-based tasks.
As an English Camp Assistant, you will work closely with our lead instructors to manage classroom logistics, assist with curriculum delivery, and provide personalized support to students. Responsibilities
- Assist lead instructors in the daily delivery of English language modules and interactive workshops.
- Facilitate group activities, team-building games, and creative exercises to encourage English fluency.
- Monitor student participation and provide encouragement to help learners build self-confidence.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants throughout the duration of the camp.
- Manage classroom resources, materials, and digital equipment needed for lessons.
- Support the administrative team with student check-ins, registration, and activity coordination.
- Provide feedback to lead instructors regarding student progress and engagement levels.
Qualifications
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or working with youth/children preferred.
- Enthusiastic, patient, and approachable personality with a passion for education.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Ability to work well within a diverse team of educators and volunteers.
- Willingness to adapt to a flexible camp schedule.
- Minimum qualification of SPM or equivalent; candidates pursuing a degree in Education or English are highly encouraged to apply.
