Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality English language instruction using Berlitz's proven communicative teaching methodology
- Plan and prepare engaging, student-centered lesson materials tailored to various proficiency levels
- Assess and track student progress through regular evaluations, quizzes, and performance reviews
- Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development and training programs
- Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and progress documentation
- Utilize technology and multimedia resources to enhance the learning experience
- Represent Berlitz professionally while building positive relationships with students and parents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (required)
- TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification with minimum 120 hours of training (required)
- Prior teaching experience in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) or English as a Second Language (ESL)
- Native or near-native English proficiency with excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and genuine passion for teaching and student development
- Flexibility to teach morning, evening, and weekend classes as needed
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs
- Eligibility to work in Malaysia or valid work permit
