Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate production equipment and processes in a chemical coatings manufacturing environment to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Conduct routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods, documenting results accurately to ensure adherence to strict quality specifications.
- Record process parameters, production data, and quality control findings meticulously using established systems.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment under the guidance of senior technicians.
- Assist in the safe preparation, handling, and storage of chemical raw materials, strictly following all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Adhere strictly to all safety, health, and environmental guidelines, fostering a culture of workplace safety.
- Collaborate effectively with senior technicians, engineers, and other team members to optimize process efficiency and improve product quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
- Nitec, Diploma, or equivalent certification in Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, or a closely related technical field.
- No prior industrial experience is required; this is an entry-level position with comprehensive on-the-job training provided.
- A strong willingness to learn, a proactive attitude, and a genuine interest in developing a career within the chemical manufacturing industry.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, or laboratory practices is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team-oriented production environment.
