Job Description
Worley is seeking a motivated Environmental Engineer to join our project team on a contract basis in Pomalaa, Sulawesi Tenggara. In this role, you will be responsible for driving environmental performance across complex engineering projects, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations, and supporting all phases of project delivery from feasibility studies to closure.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement environmental management plans, conduct impact assessments, monitor emissions and waste streams, and provide technical guidance to mitigate environmental risks. Your expertise will help Worley deliver sustainable solutions that meet client expectations while protecting the surrounding ecosystems.

Responsibilities
- Develop and update Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) for project lifecycle.
- Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Monitor air, water, soil quality and waste management practices on site.
- Liaise with government agencies, local communities, and internal stakeholders to address environmental concerns.
- Prepare environmental performance reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
- Implement corrective actions and mitigation measures to reduce environmental risks.
- Provide training and guidance to project personnel on environmental best practices.
- Support sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental engineering within oil & gas, mining, or infrastructure projects.
- Proven knowledge of Indonesian environmental regulations (KLHK) and international standards (ISO 14001, IFC PS).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in environmental monitoring and data interpretation.
- Proficiency in using environmental modeling software (e.g., AERMOD, GIS) and MS Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work with multicultural teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Valid work permit eligibility for Indonesia (if applicable).
