We are seeking an Environmental Safety Engineer to lead and manage all safety-related initiatives across our facility. This role is critical in ensuring a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace.
As the Environmental Safety Engineer, you will develop, implement, and monitor safety programs, conduct risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed a strong safety culture from the ground up.

Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive environmental health and safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses to identify and mitigate potential safety issues.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards.
- Monitor environmental compliance including waste management, emissions, and effluent discharge in accordance with Indonesian regulations.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, and records for regulatory agencies and internal audits.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and drills to ensure readiness for potential industrial incidents.
- Advise management on safety performance metrics and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental safety engineering, preferably in manufacturing, mining, or heavy industry.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), NEBOSH, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian occupational safety and environmental regulations (UU K3, UU PPLH, etc.).
- Experience conducting risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and safety audits.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive a safety-first culture.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
- Willingness to work in a remote location (Weda, Maluku Utara) and travel as needed.
