As an Equipment Engineer, you will take full ownership of critical production equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve complex equipment and system failures, utilizing root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
- Coordinate with equipment vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, upgrades, and spare part management to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects (Kaizen, Six Sigma) to enhance equipment Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and reduce costs.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting guides, and preventive maintenance checklists.
- Provide technical training and mentorship to maintenance technicians and production operators to enhance their troubleshooting and operational skills.
- Assist with the installation, specification, and commissioning of new equipment and automation systems to support production scale-up and new product introductions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience as an Equipment Engineer or Maintenance Engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment (semiconductor, electronics, or automotive preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge of PLCs, sensors, drives, robotics, and industrial control systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC) methodologies to drive data-driven decision making.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a structured approach to troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
