StaffKing Pte Ltd is actively seeking a proactive ESH Engineer to support our Construction and Marine Projects in Singapore's West Region. This permanent role offers a competitive salary up to SGD 6,000 per month, a 5-day work week, standard office hours, and company transport. As a multinational engineering leader, you will be responsible for Environmental, Safety and Health ESH throughout project lifecycles, ensuring compliance, safeguarding personnel, and preserving environmental integrity on complex offshore and onshore sites.
In this role you will partner with project managers, site teams, and contractors to implement robust ESH strategies. You will conduct risk assessments, lead safety audits and inspections, and oversee incident investigations and corrective actions. You will ensure permits to work are properly issued and tracked, support emergency response planning, and maintain documentation for regulatory reporting and client audits.
Key strengths for success include practical field experience in high risk environments, a strong understanding of Singapore safety and environmental regulations, and experience with international standards such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and monitor ESH policies and procedures for construction and marine projects.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and regulatory compliance audits to ensure adherence to local requirements and international standards.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage risk assessments, permits to work and control measures for high risk activities on site.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors and authorities to ensure safe execution of activities.
- Deliver ESH training, toolbox talks and safety briefings to site personnel and contractors.
- Maintain comprehensive ESH documentation for audits, reporting and client updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in engineering, environmental science, occupational safety or related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in ESH/HSE on construction and or marine projects.
- Solid knowledge of Singapore safety regulations and ISO 45001, ISO 14001 standards.
- Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis with corrective actions.
- Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills both written and verbal.
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or CMMS is a plus.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent are preferred.
