Join Singtel as a Facility Engineer cum Customer Support for our data centre in Jurong West. You will be a hands-on professional responsible for ensuring reliability and efficiency of critical infrastructure and delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. This role blends technical facility engineering with proactive incident resolution, change management, and client-facing support to maintain uptime, safety, and service quality. As part of the Data Centre Operations team, you will monitor electrical and mechanical systems, environmental controls, and safety compliance. You will coordinate incident response across 2nd and 3rd line teams, manage changes to infrastructure, and ensure alignment with agreed SLA targets. You will perform preventive maintenance, oversee vendor activities, and participate in capacity planning and energy efficiency initiatives to reduce risk and optimize operations. Your efforts will directly contribute to high-availability data centre services that power critical business workloads for our customers.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain data centre facilities (electrical, mechanical, cooling, UPS, PDUs) to ensure 99.9%+ uptime.
- Respond to incidents and perform 2nd/3rd level resolution based on criticality, impact, and SLA requirements.
- Coordinate and execute preventive maintenance, vendor management, and asset lifecycle activities.
- Manage incidents, changes, and service requests through ITSM tools, documenting root causes and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with IT, facilities, and security teams to ensure safe, secure, and compliant operations.
- Perform capacity planning, energy efficiency initiatives, and space planning for growth and new deployments.
- Provide clear, timely updates to stakeholders and ensure customer-focused service delivery.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field.
- Experience in data centre operations or critical facilities environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems (UPS, PDUs, switchgear), cooling (HVAC), and fire suppression basics.
- Familiarity with ITSM processes (incident, problem, change) and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and on-call duties.
- Professional certifications in data centre operations or facilities management are a plus.
