Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, cleanroom).
- Perform and supervise preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and ensure production continuity.
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and internal teams for repairs, upgrades, and installations.
- Monitor and optimize utility consumption (water, electricity, gas) to support cost-saving and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies, and ISO standards.
- Manage spare parts inventory and maintain accurate maintenance logs and technical documentation.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma) related to facility infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians and operators.
Qualifications
- Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in facility maintenance or engineering within a manufacturing, semiconductor, or photonics environment.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, compressors, high/low voltage electrical systems, and building automation systems (BAS).
- Experience with cleanroom operations and maintenance is highly valued.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Chargeman, Wireman, Certified Facility Manager) are a strong advantage.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work on rotational shifts and respond to facility emergencies as needed.
