As a Field Application Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the peak performance of high-precision inspection equipment. You will act as the technical bridge between our clients and advanced manufacturing solutions, providing hands-on support, system optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless production operations. Responsibilities
- Provide on-site installation, commissioning, and calibration of AXI (Automated X-ray Inspection), AOI (Automated Optical Inspection), and SPI (Solder Paste Inspection) systems.
- Conduct professional training for customers on system operation, software functionality, and routine maintenance.
- Perform complex troubleshooting and fault analysis to minimize machine downtime and maintain production throughput.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to provide technical feedback and drive improvements in hardware and software performance.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Support pre-sales demonstrations and technical evaluations to assist in business growth and client acquisition.
- Manage customer relationships by providing excellent technical support and proactive maintenance recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Proven hands-on experience working with AXI, AOI, or SPI inspection systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of PCB assembly processes and quality inspection standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose hardware and software issues under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel between project sites in Penang and Johor as required.
- Proficiency in English and local languages to facilitate effective client communications.
