Join Dainan Tech (S) Pte Ltd as a Field Service Engineer in Singapore. This full time role puts you on the frontline of installation, calibration, servicing, and preventive maintenance for our diverse portfolio of industrial machinery. You will work at customer sites, ensuring equipment operates at peak performance and downtime is minimized.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will diagnose faults, perform on site troubleshooting, and implement corrective actions with a focus on safety and quality. You’ll collaborate with customers, engineers, and service coordinators to plan service visits, source parts, and document activities in our service management system. You may also lead on site commissioning of new systems and apply software or firmware updates where applicable. Occasional travel across Singapore and occasional international assignments are part of the role, so a flexible mindset and reliable transport are essential.
We seek hands on technicians with a solid grounding in electrical and mechanical systems, metrology, and industrial automation. Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and calibrate new machinery at customer sites with precision and safety.
- Diagnose faults and perform on site troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Execute preventive maintenance and routine servicing per schedule.
- Calibrate instrumentation and metrology tools to meet exact specifications.
- Document service activities, parts used, and recommendations in the service management system.
- Provide on site technical training and customer facing support.
- Collaborate with dispatch, engineering, and suppliers to source parts and coordinate timely service.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field, or equivalent field service experience.
- Hands on experience with mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
- Proficiency with calibration equipment and metrology standards.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and service manuals.
- Strong problem solving and customer facing communication skills.
- Valid Singapore driving license and willingness to travel locally; occasional short notice travel.
- Safety conscious with knowledge of applicable industry standards and quality procedures.
