Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of utility construction for telecommunications projects, including fiber optics, copper lines, and aerial/underground installations.
- Conduct site surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with construction crews, subcontractors, and utility operators to maintain project schedules and resolve field issues.
- Monitor work quality, material usage, and progress against project milestones; report discrepancies to project managers.
- Enforce health and safety protocols on job sites, conducting regular risk assessments and toolbox talks.
- Document daily activities, site conditions, and asâbuilt changes using field reporting tools and mobile devices.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, local authorities, and property owners during construction phases.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior field staff on best practices and company procedures.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in telecommunications field support, utility construction, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure (fiber, copper, underground/aerial cabling) and construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical drawings.
- Proven problemâsolving skills and ability to work under pressure in outdoor environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with safety regulations (OSHA, local codes) and quality assurance processes.
- Valid driverâs license and willingness to travel to various project sites within Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
- Proficiency in using mobile apps, GPS tools, and basic office software (MS Office, Google Workspace).
