In this role, you will bridge the gap between physical hardware infrastructure and digital security compliance.
As a Field Technician, you will be the face of our technical operations, providing on-site support, system installations, and security audits for our diverse client base. We are looking for an analytical problem-solver who is comfortable working in dynamic environments and possesses a keen eye for identifying potential security vulnerabilities in network hardware and peripheral systems. Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of cyber security hardware and network infrastructure.
- Perform regular security audits and diagnostic checks to ensure systems meet client and industry compliance standards.
- Provide prompt technical support and resolution for hardware-related connectivity and security issues in the field.
- Coordinate with remote engineering teams to implement security updates and software patches across client sites.
- Maintain accurate logs of all technical activities, equipment maintenance, and security documentation.
- Assist in the deployment of firewalls, secure gateways, and surveillance hardware at various client locations.
- Educate clients on basic security best practices and operational maintenance of installed equipment.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience as a Field Technician, Technical Service Engineer, or in a similar field-based IT role.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cabling standards, and hardware configuration.
- Familiarity with basic Cyber Security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint security.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interface with non-technical clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple job sites within the Central Region.
- Willingness to travel locally and maintain a valid driver's license (if applicable).
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are highly advantageous.
