Join Huayou International Mining as a Fire Safety Officer and play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our chemical manufacturing operations in Maluku Utara. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive fire safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans tailored to chemical manufacturing operations
- Conduct regular fire risk assessments and inspections of all facility areas to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Organize and deliver fire safety training programs for employees, including fire extinguisher usage, evacuation procedures, and emergency response protocols
- Maintain and inspect all fire suppression equipment, including extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and alarm systems, ensuring proper functionality
- Coordinate with local fire departments and emergency services for drills, inspections, and emergency response when necessary
- Investigate all fire-related incidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Indonesian fire safety regulations, including Permenaker and related standards
- Lead emergency evacuation drills and emergency response team activities during actual emergencies or drills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Fire Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire safety management within chemical manufacturing, mining, or heavy industrial environments
- Valid Fire Safety Certification from recognized Indonesian institutions (Certifikasi Keselamatan Kebakaran)
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian fire safety regulations, including Permenaker No. 4 Tahun 1988 and applicable SNI standards
- Proven experience in conducting fire risk assessments, developing emergency plans, and implementing preventive safety measures
- Familiarity with fire suppression systems, alarm systems, and emergency response equipment maintenance
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train and motivate diverse teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and safety management software; excellent English communication skills are a plus
