Pullman Kuala Lumpur is seeking a passionate Food & Beverage Assistant to join our vibrant All Day Dining team. In this role, you will ensure that every guest receives exceptional service, maintaining the hotel’s high standards of hospitality and culinary excellence. You will work closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to deliver a seamless dining experience from breakfast through to late‑night snacks. As part of our dedicated team, you will be responsible for setting up dining areas, replenishing supplies, assisting with order taking, and ensuring cleanliness and presentation meet brand standards. The role also involves handling guest inquiries, processing payments, and supporting special events or promotions, providing a well‑rounded foundation for a career in hotel food and beverage operations.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain dining areas, ensuring tables are clean, properly set, and ready for service.
- Assist guests with menu selections, take orders accurately, and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
- Replenish food, beverage, and supplies throughout service periods to avoid shortages.
- Process guest payments, handle cash and card transactions securely, and balance tills at shift end.
- Monitor cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area, performing routine cleaning tasks.
- Support special events, promotions, and buffet setups as directed by the F&B supervisor.
- Provide friendly, professional service to enhance guest satisfaction and encourage repeat visits.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM or equivalent; hospitality or F&B related certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or café environment preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and processing bills accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in using POS systems or willingness to be trained.
