Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop original furniture designs aligned with brand vision and market trends.
- Create detailed sketches, technical drawings, and 3D models using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino).
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, and construction methods ensuring durability and sustainability.
- Collaborate with engineers and manufacturers to refine designs for production feasibility.
- Prepare presentation materials and prototypes for internal reviews and client feedback.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging design opportunities.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align design timelines with product launch schedules.
- Maintain an organized design library and documentation of all project iterations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience in furniture or product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative work.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, or SketchUp) and rendering software (KeyShot, V-Ray).
- Solid understanding of materials, woodworking techniques, and upholstery processes.
- Excellent sketching and visualization abilities to communicate ideas effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Knowledge of current design trends, ergonomics, and sustainable practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
