Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring consistent quality and authenticity of Korean dishes.
  • Design and update menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Control food costs and inventory by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimising waste.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with local health regulations.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house team to coordinate service flow and address customer dietary requirements or special requests.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a Korean restaurant or casual dining establishment.
  • In-depth knowledge of traditional Korean cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavours.
  • Proven ability to lead a kitchen team, manage shifts, and handle high-volume service.
