As our Head Chef, you will not only be responsible for the day-to-day culinary excellence but also for the creative direction of our menus, ensuring they align with international luxury resort standards. You will lead a dedicated kitchen team, mentor junior staff, and curate unforgettable gastronomic experiences that blend local Balinese ingredients with global culinary techniques. We are looking for a hands-on leader who thrives under pressure, possesses a keen eye for presentation, and is deeply committed to food safety and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute creative, high-end seasonal menus that appeal to an international luxury clientele.
- Direct all kitchen operations, including food production, inventory control, and kitchen maintenance.
- Lead, train, and mentor the kitchen brigade to ensure consistent quality and professional growth.
- Maintain rigorous health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Manage food costs, vendor relationships, and procurement processes to maximize profitability.
- Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Stay current with global culinary trends and local ingredient sourcing opportunities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Head Chef or Executive Sous Chef role within a luxury hotel or fine-dining establishment.
- Proven expertise in menu planning, food cost management, and kitchen operations.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing diverse teams.
- Deep knowledge of food safety certifications (HACCP or equivalent).
- Exceptional creativity and passion for high-quality, gourmet food presentation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English and proficiency in Indonesian is a plus.
