Job Description
The Provincial Government of Bulacan is seeking a dedicated Health Education & Promotion Officer II to design, implement, and evaluate health promotion programs across Ilocos Region. This role focuses on improving community health awareness, preventing disease, and encouraging healthy lifestyles through evidence‑based education initiatives.
The successful candidate will collaborate with local health offices, schools, NGOs, and community leaders to develop culturally appropriate materials, conduct training sessions, and monitor program outcomes. Strong communication, project management, and analytical skills are essential for driving measurable health improvements in the region.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health education and promotion campaigns targeting diverse populations.
- Create educational materials such as brochures, posters, videos, and social media content.
- Conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions for community health workers and volunteers.
- Collaborate with local government units, schools, and NGOs to align health initiatives with regional priorities.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness using surveys, focus groups, and health indicators.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Stay current with public health trends, research, and best practices to continuously improve strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, Nursing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in health promotion, community education, or public health programming.
- Strong understanding of Philippine health policies and local health systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Filipino.
- Proficiency in developing IEC (Information, Education, Communication) materials and using digital media.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to travel within Ilocos Region for field activities.
