Job Description
Systra is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Highway Engineer to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Resident Engineer with the quality control of road construction works on-site, ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of engineering excellence, safety, and durability.
You will play a crucial role in monitoring construction progress, inspecting materials, and ensuring strict compliance with design specifications and local regulations. Responsibilities
- Assist the Resident Engineer in executing comprehensive quality control procedures for road construction and infrastructure projects.
- Monitor daily construction progress to ensure strict alignment with project plans, schedules, and technical specifications.
- Conduct on-site inspections of materials and workmanship to verify compliance with engineering standards and safety protocols.
- Prepare and submit detailed daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to project management.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental policies, and site procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders regarding project requirements and technical issues.
- Identify potential risks or deviations in construction methods and propose corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in road construction, site supervision, or civil engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing methods, and quality assurance protocols.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid Professional Engineering (PE) license is a distinct advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
