Responsibilities
- Develop detailed HVAC design plans and specifications for commercial, residential, and industrial facilities.
- Prepare accurate project cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
- Produce high-quality technical drawings and schematics using industry-standard CAD/BIM software.
- Perform load calculations (heating/cooling) to ensure system sizing accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project integration.
- Conduct site visits to perform inspections and troubleshoot design-related issues during the construction phase.
- Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Licensed Engineer preferred).
- Minimum of 1-3 years of proven experience in HVAC system design and drafting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with BIM/Revit is a significant advantage.
- Strong knowledge of psychrometrics, heat load calculation software, and duct design principles.
- Ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong mathematical/analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple project timelines simultaneously.
