Pan Brothers, a leading garment manufacturer in Indonesia, is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Manager to join our team in Tangerang. In this strategic role, you will lead a team of industrial engineers to optimize production processes, enhance efficiency, and drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for implementing lean manufacturing principles, managing capacity planning, and reducing waste to achieve cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards. This is a contract position that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our production systems. You will collaborate closely with production, quality, and supply chain teams to align engineering initiatives with business goals. The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader with strong analytical skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the industrial engineering team, setting clear objectives and performance targets.
- Analyze current production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma) across all production lines.
- Develop and maintain labor standards, production capacity models, and throughput analysis.
- Oversee time and motion studies, and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize plant layout, material flow, and ergonomics.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for senior management on operational metrics.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives by reducing waste, improving productivity, and optimizing resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the garment, textile, or apparel manufacturing industry.
- Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred), and process improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, or similar).
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.
- Familiarity with production planning systems and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Effective communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and manage multiple priorities.
