Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction in various Information Technology and Computer Science courses to undergraduate students.
- Develop, review, and update course syllabi and instructional materials to align with current industry standards and CHED requirements.
- Supervise student research, capstone projects, and thesis development, providing technical guidance and academic mentorship.
- Engage in scholarly research, publications, and community extension programs representing the University.
- Administer examinations, assessments, and laboratory activities to evaluate student progress effectively.
- Participate in departmental meetings, university committees, and professional development workshops.
- Collaborate with industry partners to facilitate internships and career placement opportunities for students.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field (PhD preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Oracle, or Microsoft Certified Professional are highly desirable.
- Proven expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or PHP/Web Frameworks.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a higher education setting or significant industry experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong commitment to research, ethical standards, and the university’s Vincentian values.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multicultural academic environment.
