Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed client needs assessments and on-site visits to understand project requirements and vision.
- Develop creative interior design concepts, mood boards, and visual presentations (2D/3D) to communicate ideas effectively.
- Prepare comprehensive design packages, including floor plans, elevations, and material specifications.
- Select and source high-quality furniture, fixtures, finishes, and accessories that align with the project budget and style.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure design specifications are met during the execution phase.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies to ensure all designs comply with local building codes and safety standards.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, providing regular updates to clients regarding the progress of their spaces.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Interior Design Consultant or similar role.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
- A strong, professional portfolio demonstrating residential or commercial design projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex design concepts to clients clearly.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep knowledge of current design trends, color theory, spatial planning, and building materials.
