Job Description

Kick-start your design career with Met Interior, a dynamic studio specializing in contemporary residential and commercial interiors. We are seeking a passionate and curious Interior Design Intern to join our collaborative team in Singapore. This paid internship offers hands-on experience across the full design process, from concept development to documentation and client presentations. You will work closely with senior designers to translate client briefs into functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces while expanding your portfolio with real-world projects.

At Met Interior, we value curiosity, craft, and a growth mindset. You will gain exposure to concept sketches, mood boards, space planning, material selection, lighting, and 3D visualization. This role is ideal for final-year students or recent graduates looking to build practical experience in a fast-paced design practice.

What you will do: collaborate with project teams, develop design concepts, assist with drawings and specifications, source materials, prepare client-ready presentations, and contribute to project coordination and site visits. You will learn to balance form, function, and client needs while adhering to timelines and budgets.

Perks include mentorship from experienced designers, hands-on project involvement, flexible learning environment, and the chance to contribute to award-winning spaces. If you are eager to learn, bring a strong eye for detail, and thrive in a team-oriented setting, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with design documentation, including drawings, plans, elevations, and details.

  • Source and compare materials, finishes, and furnishings from vendors.
  • Assist with client presentations and design reviews.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and project teams to ensure alignment with timelines and budgets.
  • Prepare site visit notes and assist on-site during installations.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design sensibility and visualization skills.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Knowledge of space planning, materials, finishes, and lighting.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
