Responsibilities
- Conducting site visits and analyzing architectural plans to understand project requirements.
- Developing creative and functional interior design concepts, mood boards, and 3D visualizations.
- Preparing detailed technical drawings, floor plans, elevations, and furniture layouts using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their vision, providing professional advice, and presenting design proposals.
- Selecting appropriate materials, finishes, fixtures, and furniture that align with the project budget and style.
- Coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and vendors during the construction and installation phase to ensure design intent is met.
- Ensuring all design work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related design field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in residential and/or commercial interior design.
- Proficient in industry-standard design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and 3D rendering tools.
- A strong, professional portfolio demonstrating a variety of design styles and technical capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design concepts to clients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge of local building regulations and construction materials in Malaysia.
